The invention relates to a method of forming a beam from at least one array of antennas of a terminal, said at least one antenna array comprising at least one layer comprising at least two antennas. According to the invention, such a method implements the following steps: - determining (11) an orientation of said terminal; - determining (12) an actual arrival direction, on said terminal, a signal transmitted by a transmitter, taking account of said orientation of said terminal and at least one geometric parameter of said transmitter; - forming (13) from said direction of arrival actual, a beam pointing of said terminal to said issuer.
