Estimate of Performance Ratio and Generated Energy of Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Systems in Paraná

2019
Recently, the photovoltaic energy has been highlighting in global and Brazilian scenarios. This study aims to estimate the performance ratio of grid-connected photovoltaic systems in the Parana state, in Brazil, for four different photovoltaic technologies, and the annual energy generated. The knowledge of this rate is relevant to determine the performance of these systems. In low temperatures, the polycrystalline silicon systems reached higher performance rates, while in high temperatures, the cadmium telluride systems presented better performance. Concluding, the performance ratio varies in different ways for the photovoltaic technologies studied, according to the temperature. The produced energy in Curitiba was higher in comparison with the other cities, the final amount influences the distribution grid and there is a need of further studies to analyze in deep its impact and adequacy with the smart grids.
