From Serving the People to the Realization of the People's Interests

Mao Zedong tried to apply the thought of serving the people into the practice of revolution and construction, but he hadn't applied it all the time because of the limitation of the times. Deng Xiaoping settled aseries of development strategy in the process of paving a socialist way with Chinese characteristics which contained the correct understanding of the basic interests of the people on the socialist condition; while Jiang Zemin's systematical relation of the important “Three Representatives' theory”and the formation of the new development strategy show in a better way self-consciousness of the Party's representing the basic interests of the people.
