The present invention relates to a method of displaying a divided screen, and an electronic device, the method comprising: detecting an instruction to divide a screen, and according to the instruction acquiring a screen division path; according to the screen division path dividing the screen into plural divided screen display regions, and generating display data corresponding to display content of different divided screen display regions; buffering the display data; and driving the plural divided screen display regions to display the display data. An embodiment of the present invention provides a method of displaying a divided screen and an electronic device applying the method, and can divide a screen into plural divided screen display regions according to a screen division path, generate display data corresponding to display content of different divided screen display regions, and provide the same to a display module to display an output. Thus, a display module can display multiple display contents at the same time, providing an enhanced display effect.
