Different Communication Technologies and Challenges for implementing Under Water Sensor Network

Sensor technology has grown to a large extent in the last few years, and sensors have been used in many applications that are getting deployed in various mediums such as terrestrial, underwater and underground, etc. The latest advancements in the communication field have expanded the scope for collecting information using different parameters. Due to the immense measure of unexplored areas in the sea condition, underwater sensor technology is emerging as a new and vast area for research. The primary driver of this paper is to determine the basic state of knowledge to understand wireless sensor networks, their different types, and then focus on Underwater Sensor Network (UWSN), along with its working, and its different types of signals used for communication and different challenges that can be faced while working with various types of communication used in underwater.
