Effective Geo-Social Group Detection in Location-Based Social Networks

In this paper, we formulate and investigate the problem of geo-social group detection over location-based social networks. We introduce a model, called geo-social group, to enforce both structural cohesiveness and spatial cohesiveness. We propose effective optimization techniques to efficiently enumerate all communities in a network. Extensive empirical studies on real graphs demonstrate the effectiveness of our model and the efficiency of our techniques.
