Computational Electromagnetics Model of Electric Guitar Using 2.4-GHz Band Monopole Antenna

2020
Electric guitar players often use wireless transmission systems to enhance their on-stage performance without being constrained by cables. As the antenna of a wireless transmission system in a guitar is close to a player, the electromagnetic waves travel through a lossy medium. Although the antenna design should consider the influence of the human body, no related study has addressed modeling of an electric guitar using a wireless transmission system by computational electromagnetics. We propose a finite-difference time-domain model of an electric guitar using a 2.4-GHz band monopole antenna to investigate the interaction between the antenna and human body.
