Bacillus thringiensis strain and gene with high effect on coleoptera pests

2004
The present invention belongs to the field of biological pest preventing and controlling technology, and relates to Bacillus thringiensis strain cry8E with high toxicity on coleoptera pests, the nucleotide sequence of cry8E gene, the amino acid sequence of the protein cry8E encodes, and the application of the Bacillus thringiensis strain cry8E and cry8E gene expressing products. By means of the said gene and its combination, higher toxicity on coleoptera pests may be reached, and the pesticidal spectrum may be expanded to pests of lepidoptera, coleoptera and diptera. Through application of transforming to microbe and plant to make them exhibit toxicity to relevant pests, the present invention can overcome the drug resistance of the pests.
