Wireless Coverage Optimization Scheme based on Wi-Fi

As an important integral part of 5G network construction and operation strategy, the efficient utilization and management of wireless fidelity(Wi-Fi) pose huge challenges. In this context, this paper proposes a wireless coverage optimization scheme based on ray tracing. Taking the scene in the high-speed rail carriage as an example, this paper analyzes the problems and challenges of wireless network coverage in high-speed railway; then builds the physical and ray models of the high-speed railway(HSR) carriage through Sketchup and RT respectively, finally proposes engineering recommendations for train Wi-Fi wireless coverage to meet the target received signal strength and effective coverage requirements, including the optimal number of access points (AP) deployment, the combination of deployment location and transmitting power settings.
