A Computer Controlled PTO Testing Facility

A standard PTO dynamometer has been modified to improve the accuracy with which it measures speed and torque. A portable PC computer acquires data from the dynamometer and the tractor engine using an add on A/D board. This computer also controls the sequence of data acquisition so as to calibrate a mathematical model of engine performance and thereby reduce the number of data points required.
