DAMPAK PASCA LAMA KEBAKARAN LAHAN GAMBUT TERHADAP KEANEKARAGAMAN MAKROFAUNA TANAH DI KAYU AGUNG, OGAN KOMERING ILIR

2021
The utilization of peat has a high risk because the peat is very susceptible to degradation and fire. Soil macrofauna has a very important role, there are maintaining soil fertility through changing organic matter, nutrients distribution, increasing soil aeration and so on. This study aimed to compare the diversity of soil macrofauna among peatlands that were burned in 2019, 2015, and unburned peatlands. This research was conducted from July 2020 to August 2020 in peatland that were burned and not burned in Kayu Agung, Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra Province. Analysis of the chemical properties of peat soil was carried out in the Laboratory of Biological Chemistry and Soil Fertility department of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study uses the method used in this study is a detailed level survey method with a research land area of 5 ha on unburned peatland, 5 ha on burnt in 2015 and 5 ha on burnt peatland in 2019 data analysis using Randomized Block Design (RBD). The results of the study indicated that peatland fires reduced soil macrofauna diversity. Soil macrofauna diversity in the pitfall trap on peatland was not burned with a value of 1.65, burned 2015 1.85, and burned 2019 1.68 wa in the high category, while soil macrofauna diversityin soil blocks on peat land wa not burned with a value of 1.30, burned 2015 1.33, and burned 2019 1.30 is included in soil the medium category , while for the evenness of soil macrofauna in the pitfall trap on peat land, the value is not burnt 0.36, burned 2015 0.42, and buned in 2019 0.39 and the evenness of soil macrofauna in soil blocks on peat land is not burned with a value of 0.60, burned 2015 0.72 and burns in 2019 0.71 is in the high category.
