Emerging Research in Employee Health and Well-Being Interventions

Today’s workforce is beset with ever-increasing levels of job demands. Given that decrements to well-being can have significant consequences for both employees and organizations, there has been a growing focus on interventions aimed at improving employee health and well-being in industry as well as academia. Our 90-minute symposium (including four papers and a discussant) contributes to the growing literature on well-being and health interventions by presenting some of the emerging research in this area. It sheds light on different types of interventions, methodologies, and factors that contribute to our understanding of ways to improve employee well-being. Utilizing varied methodologies, including a diary study, meta-analysis, large-scale organizational survey, and case study, each paper provide interesting and unique insights on how workplace interventions can impact employee health and well-being, and collectively, they inform how health and well-being interventions can more effectively impact employee...
