Correlation Analysis for Effect of Morphological Traits on Body Mass of Hapalogenys nitens in Two Kinds of Specifications

A study on entitative correlation between body mass(y,g)and morphological traits including body length(x1,cm),body height(x2,cm)and tail length(x3,cm)of 211 one-year-old and 114 three-year-old Hapalogenys nitens cultured in Nanji sea region through body mass were used as dependent variables and morphological taits were used as independent variables for calculating correlaion coefficients,path coefficients,determination coefficients and body condition factors from December in 2008 to December in 2009.The results showed that correlation coefficients between morphological trait and body mass were all highly significant difference(P0.01).The determination coefficient in one-year-old was body lengthbody heighttail length,and in three-year-old was body heightbody lengthtail length.There were multiple linear regression model of body mass with morphological traits y=-86.259 1+9.370 1x1+6.388 9x2+2.182 6x3(R2=0.904 4**)in one-year-old and y=-652.440 6+17.085 8x1+58.239 8x2+22.089 1x3(R2=0.820 9**)in three-year-old,respectively.Goodness of fit test showed that the best body condition factor was CFJ=M/(HL2)in one-year-old and CFR=M/(H2L)in three-year-old.The study may provide important references for the study on morphology and genetic breeding of Hapalogenys nitens.
