A method for measuring the enzyme activity of E.coli Choline dehydrogenase

This paper investigated a simple and available method for measuring the enzyme activity of Choline(dehydrogenase)(CDH) in microorganisms,it can be used as a parameter to estimate the synthesis of betaine in organisms.The(enzyme) activity of CDH can be calculated by measuring the absorption of cty.c at 549nm in electron transportation system PMS-cty.c.The result showed that the enzyme activity of the induced E.coli was higher than those of the control group's obviously.
