Pathogenicity of Trichomonas hominis to splenectomized rats

Abstract Splenectomized albino rats were infected by T. hominis per os, per rectum and intracaecally. Those infected by the intracaecal injection of the parasites have shown severe symptoms which are apparently caused by the infection. 2 rats died as a result of the infection, and showed severe inflammation of mucosa of the caecum.
