APPLICATION OF ENERGY-SAVING TECHNOLOGIES IN FIBER GLASS FURNACES

The author briefs the energy consumption and energy sources of the direct-melt furnace for making glass fibers in his plant.In the course of furnace operation for many years,the plant has worked at energy-saving approaches for the melter bottom ,crown and doghouse,implemented electric heating for the forehearths,heat insulation for the canal,forehearths and regenerator,bubbling and electric boosting at the melter bottom as well as rational thermal system,and used improved refractories and laying methods.
