Application of a diode laser with an external resonator in high-resolution spectroscopy
1981
A GaAs diode laser with an external tunable frequency-selective resonator was used to record the hyperfine structure of the D2 line of cesium. The suitability of a diode laser with an external resonator for use in intracavity spectroscopy was demonstrated for the first time. A study was made of the luminescence of cesium vapor under the action of resonant laser excitation.
