공기정화용 필터에서의 유증기/먼지 누적에 따른 성능 감소 에 대한 실험적 연구

2015
Nowadays air purifier is widely used for indoor air quality and human health. The dust filters lose their capabilities as dust is accumulated by blocking the air flow. Presently no appropriate means is provided in commercial air purifier to inform users of the filter condition. Even though it is possible to detect the filter condition technically, it is rarely feasible commercially. In the present work a HEPA filter was artificially aged with the ASHRAE standard dust and cooking oil, and measured pressure drop, air flow rate, motor power consumption and dust removal capacity of the filter as a function of weight increase of the filter. The results showed a consistent tendency of the performance decay of the filter as the dust and oil was accumulated, and it was concluded that the motor power consumption is the most feasible and cost-effective index to be used in commercial air purifier.
