Closed-Loop Test for AVC System of Wind Farm Based on Real-Time Simulation

At present, the AVC system of wind farm is mainly tested after the wind farm is connected to the grid. The functions such as reactive power distribution strategy cannot be tested considering the safety of the grid. A closed-loop test method of wind farm AVC system based on real-time simulation is proposed, and a closed-loop test platform based on ADPSS is built. The test platform is composed of wind farm electromagnetic model, communication interface and wind farm AVC system. The wind farm electromagnetic model is constructed in ADPSS. The grid data information of the model is transmitted to the wind farm AVC system after transformed by the communication interface. The control instructions calculated by the wind farm AVC system are transmitted back to the wind farm electromagnetic model though the communication interface, then the device models complete the regulation according to the control instructions. The test platform realizes the closed-loop testing of wind farm AVC system in laboratory, and also improves the reliability of AVC system connected to the grid.
