New Record of Elachistodon westermanni Reinhardt, 1863 (Serpentes, Colubridae) for Rajasthan State, India

We report a new locality of Indian Egg Eater, Elachistodon westermanni and present it as the first record for Rajasthan state based on the finding of a dead specimen in eastern Rajasthan near Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. We also discuss the habitat and potential areas where this snake can inhabit in and around Rajasthan and much of the Peninsular India.
