Is the air visibility of our national parks being adequately protected

The adequacy of current federal programs to protect the visibility and air quality of national parks is debated. The provisions of the Clean Air Act of 1977 impose standards and restrictions that are only partially effective in protecting air quality. Visibility protection regulations need to be modified, using data accumulated from recent research studies.
