Effects of ~(60)Co-γ Radiation on the Activity and Germicidal Efficacy of Phytase

The effects of 60Co-γ radiation on activity and germicidal efficacy of phytase were studied by using 60Co-γ radiation irradiate solid and liquid phytase respectively.The results showed that after phytase irradiated by 4.5 kGy 60Co-γ radiations,the quantity of bacterium and mould in phytase decreased under 1.0 ×103,2.0 ×102 cfu/g,respectively.The inactivation rate of enzyme activity in liquid and solid phytase was less than 5% and 8%,respectively.
