Design and Implementation of a Dynamic Routing Protocol for the Space-Ground Integrated Network Based on IDP Protocol

2021
Space-ground integrated information network is the trend of future network technology development and plays an irreplaceable role in providing emergency communication and network security services. Dynamic routing protocol is the key to ensure the effective transmission of information in the space-ground integrated network. However, the satellite network has the characteristics of dynamic topology change, extended transmission time and limited resources, which makes the deployment of traditional IP routing technology face great challenges. In this paper, the network technology uses the identifier network with independent intellectual property rights, and proposes the dynamic routing protocol IDP-RIIP based on the self-designed IDP protocol to ensure the safety and reliability of information transmission. In addition, IDP-RIP can effectively reduce the processing delay of nodes and the routing complexity caused by topology switching, based on the characteristics of IDP protocol that the address space is 16-bit identifier, there is no subnet partition concept and hosts are routed between nodes. Experimental results show that the protocol has good performance in routing update delay and convergence time. Compared with the traditional IP network technology, the communication delay is reduced in the case of poor link state.
