Primary Studies on Fast Simulation and Modeling for Future Power Systems

The concepts of fast simulation and modeling(FSM) for future power systems are introduced.Possible challenges that the future power systems may bring to FSM tools are predicted by considering the three requisites of simulation,namely,system models,data and algorithms.Some necessary properties that the FSM tools for future power systems should possess are listed.Finally,a possible solution based on the decomposition and coordination methodology is discussed.
