Unprecedented one-dimensional chain and two-dimensional network dysprosium(III) single-molecule toroics with white-light emission

A one-dimensional zig-zag chain and a two-dimensional network dysprosium(III) single-molecule toroics with anisotropy barriers of about 5 cm-1 under zero dc field were reported. This is the first one- and two- dimensional single-molecule toroics reported to date. Furthermore, two complexes also display white-light emission under UV-light irradiation.
