El Trastorno por Déficit de Atención con Hiperactividad: Causas e implicaciones para el tratamiento

The aim of this review is to discuss some current aspects of the debate about the etiology of ADHD. Some authors have cast doubt on the very existence of the disorder. Here, the scientific evidence is reviewed, including its genetic, neurological and cognitive aspects. Its current classification is questioned and the criteria proposed in the DSM-V are reviewed. Finally, important questions are considered about assessment and intervention as far as the international consensus is concerned.
