Análisis de crecimiento de higuerilla (ricinus communis l.) En clima seco y función del nitrógeno

2014
The castor oil plants (Ricinus communis L.) represent an opportunity to harvest solar energy through photosynthesis to produce new renewable and sustainable sources. This crop can be an important source for the generation of low-cost biofuels, because its seeds are rich in fatty acids and their large size , can be obtained as it is a biogas plant that has a high point fotosaturacion , what increasing the biological performance ( biomass ) and would be a suitable substrate for the generation of methane . So the aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of nitrogen on growth, yield and agronomic spurge biological under dry weather conditions. In this study we observed the affect of nitrogen positively on agronomic performance, harvest index, biomass and the number of leaves and number of branches. The dose of 60 kg N ha- 1, produces the optimal crop yields without applying more of this nutrient. So the castor oil plants can be grown under drought conditions, making it an alternative for obtaining materials that can be used for the extraction of biofuels.
