Determination of Tanshinone IIA in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge by HPLC

Objective: To investigate the content variety of tanshinone ⅡA in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge in current market.Methods: HPLC was adopted with Inertsill ODS-SP(4.6×150mm,5 μm).The mobile phase consisted of methanol-water(75:25) with a flow of 1.0ml/min at 270nm.Results: The tanshinone ⅡA showed good linear relationship in range of 1.43～68.35 μg/ml,r=0.9999(n=6).In general,the content of tanshinone ⅡA in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge is comparatively low.The content of tanshinone ⅡA in drug of Danshen from Shandong is highest.Conclusions: This paper measures and analyzes the content of tanshinone II A in Salvia miltiohiza Bunge,which will provide a reference for clinica1 use of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge.
