Detection of Human Presence Using UWB Radar

2021
Impulse Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communication is a very fast emerging technology with uniquely attractive features over narrowband and broadband signal such as extreme robust operation in dense multipath Environment, intercept or detection, extremely high data rates, and ability to operate concurrently with existing users. This dissertation begins outline with the interfacing of Novelda X2M200 UWB-IR with Arduino Mega Board for receiving Radar data that consists of information of Target, Clutter & Noise. Design Interfacing & the software code for Exponential Average Clutter reduction and detection algorithm using a comparison between predefined Threshold and highest amplitude range bin is carried out as part of a process to achieve the goal of this project. our proposed method is Radar uses novel techniques such as 1-bit A/D conversion which is referred to as a Continuous-Time Binary Value (CTBV) & Swept threshold sampler will be the main topic of this Paper. This paper concludes by detecting the human target with distance from the radar. Also, evaluating the result and comparing waveforms (Amplitude Vs Distance) with or without clutter reduction technique.
