Gangguan Neurotik Remaja dan Pola Asuh Orang Tua: Tinjauan Psikoanalisis Sosial dan Islam dalam Film dan Novel Posesif

This research aims to investigate neurotic disorder and parenting style in Posesif’s film. Obsession and manipulation attitudes in adolescent dating indicate unhealthy relationship also the neurotic need for affection. Horney (1937) said neurosis comes from the hatred children who are repressed due to a lack of parental love, thus rising to feel anxiety. Therefore, neurotic adolescents seek to meet their needs through a tendency to moving toward people, moving against people, and moving away people. Baumrind (1971) emphasized parenting style that dominates, indulges, neglects has potential risk to be neurotic individuals who lack social competence and self-control. As for the Islamic view Syeikh  Ulwan (2004) stated that parents who are harsh and abusive will worsen children's communication relationships, and leave deep trauma that leads to pathological behavior. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach to Posesif’s film and novel, then analyzed using psychoanalytic social theory and Islamic view by content analysis techniques. The results of the study found that the main character of Yudhis has a neurotic trend to moving toward people which refers to the need to be loved, accepted, and protected. This situation is caused by hatred due to father’s affair and abandonment, also mother's authoritarian parenting which results instrapsychic conflict of self-hatred that had been ingrained since he was a child.
