The male luer connector

2006
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male luer connector where there is little risk of bacteria growing due to sticking of spilt chemical etc. by performing priming without spilling a liquid. SOLUTION: The male luer connector 100 includes a main tube 110 where a second opening 113a and a vent opening 113b, and a male luer member 120 mounted on the outer circumferential surface of the main tube 110. The male luer member 120 covers the second opening 113a. A filter 151 having excellent gas permeability properties is attached to the vent opening 113b. In the case of priming, gas inside a channel 115 passes through the filter 151 and is discharged outside through the vent opening 113b. In this case, since the filter 151 is impermeable to the liquid, the liquid is prevented from being spilled outside. In the case of coupling with a female connector 10, the male luer member 120 moves to open the second opening 113a to discharge the liquid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
