Microsatellite Analysis of Chloroplast DNA in Phalaenopsis aphrodite subsp. formosana and Its Marker Exploitation

2011
In order to develop the chloroplast microsatellite(cpSSR) primer from arethusa, the cpSSR statistical analysis of the chloroplast complete sequence of Phalaenopsis aphrodite subsp.formosana in Taiwan was conducted. The results showed that the SSR of Phalaenopsis aphrodite subsp.formosana in Taiwan was mainly mononucleotide motif SSR,which accounted for 78.3% of the total.Repeat A and T were the main base in mononucleotide motif SSRs,accounting for 95.8%.The repeat units were mainly pure SSRs,accounting for 70% of the total.Meanwhile, three pairs of cpSSR primers were developed.
