Every faecal contamination has to be identified, as well it is indispensable to have no false positive reactions. The contamination with the coliform bacteria Klebsiella oxytoca was of no faecal origin.The bottles have been contaminated after sterilisation by handling. From the surface of the bottle the microorganisms were spread into the water.
