The Educational Value of the Spirit of Chen Jiageng (TanKah Kee) and Its Enlightenment on Higher Vocational Education

With the educational value of the spirit of Chen Jiageng and its enlightenment on higher vocational education as the object of the research, the author objectively analyzes the concept of Chen Jiageng's spirit and the influence on imparting knowledge and educating people for the younger generation which reflects the values such as guidance, cohesion, molding and spreading,and gain the enlightenment on teaching education, management education, service education, and practice education. The authorputs forward the cultivation of talents which is the basic task for higher vocational education, the full use of the rich connotations and thesignificances of Chen Jiageng’s spirit on education, the further innovation of the educational contents and forms,and the expansion of educational approaches and carriers.
