Long metal cable scattering features in space borne high resolution SAR images

In space borne high resolution SAR images, the long metal cable may scatter as a bright spot similar with corner reflector scattering. This paper analyzed the magnitude and phase features of the line scatters in X band SAR images. The magnitude and pixel size of the line scatters varied in time series images, while the scatterers' center also shifting in range and azimuth direction. The phase of each line scatters is consistent, but the differential phase between the scatterers are fluctuated irregularly. The test results showed that the differential phase of the line scatterers variation are mainly due to the line deformation, which may cause by the temperature change, windage yaw and so on.
