Separation and Preconcentration Methods (Excluding Chromatography)

A general methodology for analytical preconcentration has been developed. Much has been done in liquid–liquid extraction, in particular the extraction of chelates and complex acids; the mutual influence of the elements during extraction has been discovered and studied (Yu. A. Zolotov). Effective sorbents for the preconcentration of ions of elements have been created (G. V. Myasoedova, G. I. Tsizin and others). Capillary isotachophoresis has been invented.
