Plastic film with conduits for a multimodal input device using the plastic film and process for producing a multimodal input device

2011
The invention relates to a plastic film for a multimodal input device, particularly one associated a dip module and a control element. For example, one finds such input devices in the center consoles of vehicles, in dishwashing or washing machines, telephones or the like. For example, one finds such input devices in the center consoles of vehicles, in dishwashing or washing machines, telephones or the like. The invention firstly shows how, touch modules on the one hand and operating element modules can be connected by means of layout of the conductors in the form of a geometrically distorted matrix on a single plastic film, which forms a support for a combined input device on the other. For this purpose, the conductor track matrix of the immersion module interconnects are outsourced and connected to the operating elements in the edge region. This results in a geometrically distorted array of conductors on the plastic film.
