Nilai ekonomi air di kawasan Mutis Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur

Kawasan Mutis berperan sebagai pengatur tata air di Pulau Timor. Air yang berasal dari kawasan tersebut digunakan untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga, tanaman padi dan tanaman sayur. Selain itu kawasan tersebut juga berperan sebagai pencegah banjir. Manfaat kawasan tersebut sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) menaksir nilai ekonomi air untuk rumah tangga, pengairan padi dan sayur (2) menaksir nilai ekonomi kawasan Mutis sebagai pencegah banjir.. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Willingness to Pay / Willingness to Sell. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai ekonomi air untuk rumah tangga sebesar Rp.20.040/m3, nilai ekonomi air untuk pengairan tanaman padi sebesar Rp.130.000/ ha/tahun, dan nilai ekonomi air untuk pengairan tanaman sayur sebesar Rp. 5.128,6/m3. Nilai ekonomi kawasan Mutis sebagai pencegah banjir Rp.1.983.333.333/tahun. Jumlah nilai ekonomi kawasan Mutis sebagai pengatur tata air sebesar Rp.12.143.628.522/ tahun.Nilai tersebut lebih besar daripada nilai ekonomi marmer yang ditemukan di kawasan tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kawasan Mutis disarankan tetap dipertahankan sebagai hutan. Hal ini dikarenakan nilai ekonomi kawasan Mutis sebagai pengatur tata air lebih besar daripada nilai ekonomi marmer. Mutis region has a role as a water regulator on the island of Timor. Water coming from the region is used for the needs of households, rice and vegetable irrigation. In addition, the region also acts as flood prevention. Benefit of the region is essential for human life. This research aims to: (1) estimate the economic value of water for households, rice, and vegetables (2) estimate the economic value of Mutis as flood prevention. The method employed in this research was the Willingness to Pay / Willingness to Sell. The results of the research indicate that the economic value of water for households is Rp. 20.040 per cubic meter, economic value of water for rice irrigation is Rp. 130.000 per hectare per year, and economic value for vegetable irrigation is Rp. 5.128,6 per cubic meter. The economic value of Mutis region as a flood prevention is Rp. 1.983.333.333 per year. Summing up of economic value of Mutis region as the water regulator shows Rp. 12.143.628.522 per year. This Value is greater than the economic value of the marble, which is found in the region. Based on the results of the research, Mutis region is recommended to be maintained as forest because the economic value of Mutis region as the water regulator is greater than the economic value of marble
