An antenna device and a wireless communication device

The present invention provides an antenna device and a wireless communication device, wherein the antenna device comprises antenna elements (A1, A2), each of which is made from a conductive plate having a circumference. Each of the antenna elements (A1, A2) is provided along a reference axis passing through a first position (Pa) and a second position (Pb) of the antenna device so as to be in proximity with a section between the first position (Pa) and the second position (Pb). Each of the antenna elements (A1, A2) has a first portion and a second portion, the first portion being in proximity with the reference axis along the periphery of the antenna element and being electromagnetically coupled with the other antenna element, and the second portion being located at a distance from the reference axis. The first portions of the antenna elements (A1, A2) are shaped such that the antenna elements (A1, A2) are in closest proximity to each other in the vicinity of the first position, and that the distance between the antenna elements gradually increases from the first position towards the second position. The antenna device comprises power feed points (P1, P2) respectively provided to each of the antenna elements (A1, A2) in the vicinity of the first position (Pa).
