The commodity label no longer applies: advances in exploration geophysics will guide the future of E&P

I am very grateful for the opportunity to write a short piece on what has been achieved in petroleum geoscience in the last 10 years and what we might expect in the next 10 years. My perspective is narrow, so I am not claiming to be comprehensive. In the 1990s some sections of the exploration and production (EP now it has basically been solved. It works. The Gulf of Mexico technology can be applied elsewhere.
