The invention discloses a method for simulating defects of oil impregnated paper bushings, and particularly relates to a method for simulating the manufacturing technology defects, the insulation aging defect and the insulation damping defect of the oil impregnated paper bushings. The method includes the step of simulating the manufacturing technology defects, the insulation aging defect and the insulation damping defect of the oil impregnated paper bushings by building models. The bushing manufacturing technology defect model is used for simulating the defects of the bushings in the production process and the use process, wherein the defects include staggering of capacitor core aluminum foil pole plates, local cracking of the pole plates, corrugation of the pole plates, loose winding and the uneven axial diameters. The bushing insulation aging defect model is used for researching aging characteristics of capacitor cores, wherein in the bushing insulation aging defect model, the number of layers of cable paper is assigned, and the lengths of capacitor screen pole plates are coincident. The insulation damping defect model is used for simulating damping conditions of the bushings in the practical use process. The method can be conveniently used for researching the dielectric response change rule of the bushings, and therefore the basis is provided for seeking an optimal characteristic quantity representation mode of the defects.
