Symptom identification and control measures of mulberry red rust and mulberry rust in Guangxi.

Red rust often occurs in mulberry plants in Guangxi and its regularity of outbreak was comparatively defi-nite,while mulberry rust was first observed in Guangxi.The present paper described the symptoms,pathogens,distribution and spreading of mulberry red rust and mulberry rust in Guangxi.A few control measures for the disease management have been suggested which include selection of resistant varieties,rational planting density,extirpation and burning of affected buds and leaves,unified pruning and timely spray of fungicides.
