Berlin Conference review. Non-governmental organizations.

1993
The Berlin International AIDS Conference was the 1st in which a room was made available for nongovernmental organization (NGO) meetings for the duration of the conference; it was used to its fullest extent to discuss a range of topics. The space served as a forum for the exchange of information and experience and afforded greater opportunity for discussion than did the formal conference sessions. This report focuses upon the issues which illustrate changes in the way NGOs approach their involvement in HIV work. Evaluation and community-based research as well as networking are particularly noteworthy. Individual presentations and papers are described.
