The influence of preparation conditions on the performance of BaFBr-Eu storage phosphors

Abstract The main luminescent properties of europium-doped BaFBr storage phosphors like steady state X-ray luminescence, phosphorescence and thermally (TSL) and optically stimulated luminescence (PSL) depend strongly on the Eu content, the real phosphor composition and the phosphor preparation conditions used. This is shown in the present paper. The results obtained are interpreted in connection with the relevant luminescence models discussed in the literature.
