WPM P-3.10 MECHANICAL CHARACTERITICS OF A NEW COPMACT SIZlE COLOR LASER PRINTER FOR HOME USE

Electrophotography has become a widely used technology for printing images on various printing media. Different types of color printers using this technology have been developed recently. However, most of the existing color printers are convenient for office use but are still too large and expensive for home or personal use. We have developed a compact size color laser printer that can be conveniently used for home use. This printer can produce high-quality color images and text on plain paper, postal cards, and transparencies at a print speed of 6 pages per minute (ppm) in color or 24 ppm in monochrome. Several new mechanical technologies have been developed, and the two main ones are described in this paper.
