Multi-scale Localized Inversion Method - FWI for Strong-contrast Models

We introduce a multi-scale localized inversion method by combining the Nth-order time integral and Time-damping to invert the strong-contrast models. Combination of these two methods overcomes both the instability problem of the Time-damping method and the dependence of low-frequency information for the multi-scale FWI (the Nth-order time integral method). Numerical tests on the SEG/ESGE Salt model demonstrate the effectiveness of this method when the source has not enough low-frequencies.
