Theory of a quasi-optical resonator of the relativistic orotron

Diffraction aspects of developing the relativistic orotron are considered. A technique for designing the quasi-optical resonator, one of whose mirrors is a reflection grating, is described. Characteristics of eigen-modes are calculated for the grating period close to the wavelength.
