An Evaluation Frame Work for Social Severance

The severance impacts that result from the provision and use of transport infrastructure have received insufficient attention due to their complex nature. This paper reports the results of a Transit New Zealand funded study, undertaken in 1996. into how the potential for severance may be identified, investigated and included within the project valuation framework.
