Study on Catalyst for Synthesis of 1,4-Butynediol by Slurry Bed

The molecule sieve-support complex oxide(CuO/Bi2O3/ZSM-5) catalyst was prepared by impregnation.The effect of preparation and reaction conditions on ethynylation of formaldehyde was investigated.Results show that under the optimum conditions of reaction temperature 363 K,atmospheric pressure,CuO/Bi2O3/ZSM-5 catalyst 5 g per 50 mL formaldehyde solution,space velocity of acetylene 0.14—0.16 s-1,and reaction time 24 h,the yield and selectivity of butynediol could reach 89%—92% and 96%,respectively,and the yield of byproduct propargyl alcohol is about 2%.
