Application of equations of state and the theory of group solutions to phase equilibrium prediction

1993
Abstract The concept of infinite-pressure excess properties introduced by Vidal allows an application of the liquid-state theories to the parameter mixing rules of cubic equations of state and makes it possible to apply the theory of group solutions to predict interaction parameters from group contributions. The paper gives the guidelines followed for the development of a new, predictive method and shows some preliminary results.
